who can row?

LTRC has taught rowing to many groups and individuals.

Whether you are tall, short, aged ten or seventy five, whether you want to be competitive or just have fun, it is likely that you can get involved.

LTRC aims to offer a broad range of programs that cater for all age groups and try to meet the needs of anyone who wants to learn to row.

LTRC can also teach athletes with a disability to row. Our club has a range of equipment to meet these special needs.

health checkup

Rowing, like any physical activity, can be strenuous at times.

If you have concerns about your health we recommend you discus the program with your doctor before commencing.

swimming competency

We try to row on top of the water most of the time, however there is the risk that a rowers boat may capsize.

The LTRC safety policy stipulates that all members and particpants must be competent swimmers and be able to swim 100m or wear an acredited floatation device.

The holiday and the college programs require all participants to demonstrate that they can swim 100m clothed in the pool before the commencement of the program.
